Welcome to the website for the 25th biennial conference of the European Society for Cognitive Psychology

The European Society for Cognitive Psychology (ESCoP) is a leading organisation dedicated to advancing research in cognitive psychology across Europe and beyond. It fosters collaboration among researchers studying human cognition, including but not limited to perception, memory, language, reasoning, development, decision-making, and neuroscience.

ESCoP’s 25th biennial conference will take place in Cluj-Napoca, Romania from Monday 30th August to Saturday 4th September 2027.

Cluj-Napoca, the unofficial capital of Transylvania, stands as one of Romania’s most dynamic cities. With a population of approximately half a million, including a vibrant community of 100,000 college students, Cluj-Napoca pulsates with youthful energy year-round.

Babeș-Bolyai University

Founded in 1581, Babeș-Bolyai University (BBU) is the oldest university in Romania, with a long history of education, research, and serving the local community. BBU is the largest university in the country enrolling more than 46,000 undergraduate, graduate and doctoral students in 514 degree programs in Romanian, Hungarian, German, English, French, Italian and Finnish.

Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences

Integrating high academic standards and a broad educational offer, the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences provides initial training and continuing education in the field of Psychology and Educational Sciences. The programmes of study are conducted in Romanian, English, Hungarian and German.
